Russian Post says has no IPO scenario or plans

MOSCOW, Oct 4 (PRIME) -- Russian postal operator Russian Post is not considering the possibility of an initial public offering (IPO), such scenarios are not part of the company’s strategy, the company said in a statement on Monday on its Telegram channel.

“The company is not considering a default or an IPO. Russian Post’s strategy, which includes all of our development plans, has been approved and is available on the company’s website, and there are no such scenarios in it,” the company said.

Earlier on Monday, business daily Vedomosti reported citing a supplement to the company’s strategy that Russian Post has plans to hold an IPO in 2023 amid rising concern about possible default risks.

Russian Post said that the information reported by Vedomosti is based on the company’s six months old and outdated corporate data, “containing an extremely unlikely scenario of degradation of the commercial function.”
